Computer Vision Engineer

We are hiring a Computer Vision Engineer to join our growing engineering team and tackle complex challenges in autonomy. In this role, you will work on advancing our navigation and target tracking systems, developing cutting-edge solutions for GPS-denied environments and contested domains. What you're responsible for
-
Improve UAV autonomy through development and integration of perception algorithms that leverage our state-of-the-art GNC technologies.

Research, implement, and train neural networks for object detection and localization, image registration, depth estimation, and other challenging visual perception tasks.

Optimize computer vision algorithms for real-time computation on embedded platforms

Contribute to performance, reliability, and usability improvements to our visual navigation system
What we're looking for

Empathetic and collaborative team player

2-3 years of relevant work experience

Proficiency with C++ and Python

Machine learning and experience programming within a popular ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc)

Experience with robotics state estimation and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms

Familiarity with Linux and Linux tools

Experience with classical and machine learning based computer vision

Strong mathematical foundation of deep learning techniques
-
Ability to read scientific publications and implement proposed solution
Bonus Skills

Familiarity with ROS / ROS 2 (Robot Operating System)

Experience programming for embedded environments

Familiarity with nonlinear optimization techniques

Unreal Engine / Unity experience

Experience testing UAVs in a variety of environments
